Dianne Nasby, age 74 of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, April 23, 2018, at the family farm in Castle Rock. Dianne Marie Nasby was born June 24, 1943, in Northfield, Minnesota, to Orville and Gwendolyn (Shellenbarger) Nasby. She was raised on the family farm at Castle Rock, baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, and attended Castle Rock elementary school. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1961, and in 1965, received her Teaching degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. Dianne Nasby, age 74 of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, April 23, 2018, at the family farm in Castle Rock.

Dianne Marie Nasby was born June 24, 1943, in Northfield, Minnesota, to Orville and Gwendolyn (Shellenbarger) Nasby. She was raised on the family farm at Castle Rock, baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, and attended Castle Rock elementary school. She graduated from Northfield High School in 1961, and in 1965, received her Teaching degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. She taught for several years in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and Hopkins, Minnesota. In the early 1980’s, Dianne changed careers and began working for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2012. Dianne made her home in Plymouth and also stayed connected with the family farm. She cared deeply for animals and her “kitties” and was strong supporter of the humane society.

Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, David and Joan Nasby of Faribault; one nephew and one niece, Michael (Susanne) Nasby, Brenda (Tom) Polzin; two great-nephews, Michael Nasby, Jr., Andrew (Megan) Polzin; one great-niece, Cassandra Polzin; two great-great-nieces and one great-great-nephew, Saige, Makailyn and Easton; her aunt, Alice Nasby of Northfield; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew Bruce Nasby.

Service will be 11:00AM, Friday, April 27, 2018, at the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home. A reception will follow. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred to the Humane Society or the donor’s choice.
