Tom Pleschourt, age 65 of Northfield, passed away unexpectedly, with his family by his side, on Thursday afternoon, July 18, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Walter Louis “Tom” Pleschourt was born March 31, 1954, in Northfield, Minnesota, to Walter and Evon (Burhop) Pleschourt, Sr. He was raised on a farm near Northfield and attended Northfield and Faribault schools. He graduated from Faribault High School in 1972 and following his education began his career at Malt-O-Meal. On March 19, 1983, Tom married Cindi Jo Chambers at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Randolph and they made their home in Northfield. He retired in 2017 after 44 years.

Tom was a man of many interests. Over the years he participated in league bowling, softball league and deer hunting. He enjoyed playing Euchre, Bingo, riding motorcycle, following the Vikings football team, watching the Dundas Dukes baseball team, going to garage sales, getting the best deal at auctions, and growing vegetables in his garden. He especially loved radishes. He was great at “tinkering” and could fix almost anything. Everyone always knew that if they couldn’t fix something, Tom could or at least he wasn’t afraid to try. He especially loved working on small engines, mostly lawnmowers. His greatest joy came from his family. He looked forward to spending time with everyone at the annual Leech lake cabin vacation. He truly enjoyed the time he spent with all of his grandchildren. Although Tom loved giving people a hard time about almost anything, he had the biggest, kindest heart. He always put others before himself and he will be truly missed.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Cindi; his children, Anita (Jerrad) Page of Faribault, Tom (Brenda Luckoff) of Faribault, Tonya (Chris Hough) of Byron, Kyle of Northfield; 7 grandchildren, Cody, Makenzie and Chloe Page, Jacob, Logan and Dylan Pleschourt, Alivia Hough; his mother, Evon Frechette of Faribault; his siblings, Carolyn Steinberg, Ernest Pleschourt, Bonne Uberto, June LeRoy, Jeri Hoban; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a ton of friends. He was preceded in death by his father and his step-father Leo Frechette.

A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home. Interment will be in Groveland Cemetery, Dundas. Pallbearers will be Tom, Tonya, Kyle and Jacob Pleschourt and Jerrad and Cody Page. Visitation will be 3:00PM – 7:00PM Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at the funeral home and will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
