James “Jim” Truman, age 53 of Fargo, ND, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, in his home. James Jon Truman was born to Gerald and Elizabeth Truman on April 30, 1966, in Northfield, MN. He attended St. Dominic’s Catholic School through eighth grade and went on to graduate from Northfield High School in 1984. He was a member of the FFA in high school and later joined the Marine’s in November of 1984. He served for 4 years before being honorably discharged. James “Jim” Truman, age 53 of Fargo, ND, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, in his home.

James Jon Truman was born to Gerald and Elizabeth Truman on April 30, 1966, in Northfield, MN. He attended St. Dominic’s Catholic School through eighth grade and went on to graduate from Northfield High School in 1984. He was a member of the FFA in high school and later joined the Marine’s in November of 1984. He served for 4 years before being honorably discharged.

Jim worked as a mechanic in various shops during his life, most recently for Meineke in Fargo. He enjoyed his time at the family cabin in Leech Lake, MN, hunting, and ice fishing.

Jim is survived by his children, Gerry, Robert, James Elizabeth, and Michael Truman; mother, Elizabeth Truman; brothers, Tim (Lisa) Truman and Teddy Truman; nephew, Logan Truman; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Truman; brother, Scott Truman; grandparents, Larry and Marge Neuhaus and Milton and Louise Truman.

A memorial service will be held at 4 PM, Wednesday, November 6, 2019, in All Saints Episcopal Church, 419 Washington Street, Northfield. Visitation will be from 1-4 PM before the service in the church. Interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN, on a later date.
