Ervin Marlow Turek was born December 14, 1953, the son of Ervin “Babe” and Sibilia (Kaisersatt) Turek. He was raised in Veseli and attended Most Holy Trinity Catholic School. He graduated from New Prague High School in 1972 and attended Mankato Technical College where he received his degree in Agricultural Mechanics. Junior married Joyce Ann Lapic on September 12, 1975, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. After marriage they made their home in Lonsdale and Junior worked for his father at Turek Farm Equipment. In 2001, Junior and Joyce purchased the business from his father. In 2006, they sold the business and Junior spent the next two years as an over-the-road trucker. In 2008, he started working for Matejcek Implement in Faribault.

Junior was an active member of New Day Church and had always been very active on the worship teams of the churches he belonged to. He was an extremely talented musician and loved to use that talent to praise the Lord. He is a former member of the Lonsdale Fire & Rescue Squad.
