Elaine Larson, age 77 of Northfield, formerly of rural Lakeville, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday morning, March 13, 2018, at Reflections on the Three Links Campus in Northfield.

Elaine Ramona Thompson Larson was born September 26, 1940, in Northfield, Minnesota, to Roger and Lucille (Wiese) Thompson. She was raised in the Farmington area and graduated from Farmington High School in 1958. On November 29, 1958, Elaine married Hollis A. Larson at Highview Christiania Lutheran Church. After marriage they made their home in Eureka Township. Over the years Elaine worked outside the home in many capacities, including many years as a cashier and baker at Enggren’s Grocery in Lakeville. In 2013, Elaine and Hollis moved to the Northfield Retirement Community. Elaine was a longtime active member of Christiania Lutheran Church and CLCW. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved and cherished her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Hollis; 5 children, Dylan (Julie) of Lakeville, Duane (Cindy) of Farmington, Darcy (Dan) Deutsch of Lonsdale, Doug of Adams, Dave (Brenda) of Farmington; 11 grandchildren, Mitchell (Katrina), Markham (Theresa), Annalise (Jim) Poepl, Justine (Dylan) Getty, Darrin (Kaylin), Abigail, Emily Deutsch, Anthony (Christy) Deutsch, Laurianne (Nick) Devney, Elizabeth Deutsch, Julianne Deutsch; 8 great-grandchildren; her sister, Phyllis (Doug) Hullett of Northfield; her brothers, Charles Thompson of Manhattan, NY, Darryl Thompson of Hinckley, Donald Thompson of Farmington; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter – Duane and Cindy’s infant daughter Allison.

Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Christiania Lutheran Church, 26691 Pillsbury Ave, rural Lakeville. Interment will be in East Christiania Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Larson, Duane Larson, Darcy Deutsch, Doug Larson, Dave Larson and her Godson Brad Ostlie. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred to Lutheran Social Services.

    Dear Hollis and family, we are so sorry to hear of Elaine’s death. We know she had been ill for a long time. We want you to know our prayers are with you and your family. We are in AZ and will not be able to attend the funeral. Will and Marietta Storlie
