Donna Rezac, age 87 of Northfield, passed away with her family by her side, on Wednesday evening, November 20, 2019, at the Care Center of the Northfield Retirement Community. Donna Mae Rezac was born October 8, 1932, on the family farm in Greenvale Township to John and Mary (Cecka) Moravec. Donna Rezac, age 87 of Northfield, passed away with her family by her side, on Wednesday evening, November 20, 2019, at the Care Center of the Northfield Retirement Community.

Donna Mae Rezac was born October 8, 1932, on the family farm in Greenvale Township to John and Mary (Cecka) Moravec. She was baptized and confirmed at the Church of St. Dominic, attended Greenvale School, and graduated from Northfield High School in 1951. After her education, she worked at Quality Bakery. On September 15, 1952, Donna married Eugene Rezac at St. Dominic’s and they made their home in Northfield. When the children were young Donna stayed at home, and when they were older, she worked at Sheldahl, 3M, Riteway, and as a dietary aide for Northfield Hospital. Eugene passed away in 1990. Donna moved to Dundas in 2007.

Donna was a lifelong member of the Church of St. Dominic. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, going to the casino, traveling, her animals, and time with her family. Donna was kind, caring and spunky. Although she suffer great loss in her lifetime, she was able to stay strong and content. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter Ann (special friend Mike Peterson) of Faribault; her sons David of Northfield, Joseph (Renee) of Northfield, Donald (Lynette) of Dundas, Bob (Theresa) of Lakeville, and Charles (Tammy) of Northfield; 11 grandchildren Aaron Rezac, Jeremy (Ashley) Rezac, Tammy (Adam) Murphy, Travis (Darcy) Rezac, Tony Rezac, Josh (Laura) Rezac, Jake (Katie) Rezac, Jessie (Brad) Werner, Emma Rezac, Elizabeth Rezac and Annabelle Rezac; 15 great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law Valora Moravec, Mary Ann Kruse, Sharon Rezac and Judy Matson, all of Northfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, her sons Paul and Bruce, her sisters Mamie Schoenbauer and Loretta Keilen, and her brother Milton Moravec.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30AM, Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at the Church of St. Dominic, Northfield. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM, Monday, November 25, 2019, at the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home, and will continue on Tuesday at the church one hour the service. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
