Betty Krenz, age 88 of Apple Valley, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday morning, March 22, 2017, at Ebenezer Ridges Arbor Lane in Burnsville.

Betty Julain (Vosburgh) Krenz was born October 24, 1928, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Gordon and Grace (Larson) Vosburgh. She was raised in Owatonna and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1946. She attended Minnesota Business College and worked as a bookkeeper for Bosworth Lumber Company. On December 17, 1949, Betty married John “Jack” Krenz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. Over the years they lived in Minneapolis, Windom, Owatonna, Rochester, Burnsville and Apple Valley.

Betty spent many hours as a volunteer at Methodist Hospital in Rochester and Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. She enjoyed golf, bridge, reading, animals, downhill skiing, and traveling throughout the world with Jack. She was a wonderful cook and very proud of her Norwegian heritage. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who adored her grandchildren and delighted in spending time with them.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Jack; 3 children, Scott (Gayle) of Chicago, Jody (Daniel) Marvin of Maple Grove, Tim of Lakeville; 9 grandchildren, Catherine (Allen), Brian, Gordon, Tyler, Jared, Jaclyn, Eric, Alexandra, Clarissa; her sister, Donnajean Ebenhoh of Claremont; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Christiania Lutheran Church, 26691 Pillsbury Ave., rural Lakeville. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Owatonna.
