Doris Pumper age 94 of Northfield passed away on Thursday morning February 23, 2017 at Three Links Care Center in Northfield.

Doris was born September 30, 1922 in Stanton, the daughter of George and Nellie McCorkell. She attended school in Northfield and grew up in the area. Following her marriage on May 15, 1948 to Joseph Pumper she made her home in Northfield. Doris was employed at Carleton College in the student accounts office and retired in 1991 and was previously employed at Montgomery Ward.

Doris enjoyed her retirement, playing bingo, going out to eat, reading and loved her home that her and Joe had built.

She is survived by daughters, Linda (and husband Wayne Bradford of Prior Lake, MN), Pat Miller (and fiance Victor Oreskovich of Bloomington, MN); grandchildren, Justin and wife Stacie Bradford, Amanda and husband Scott Ginkel, Jason and wife Tanya Miller, Aric and wife Sara Miller; great grandchildren, Garrett and Alyssa Miller, Mia and Gaby Miller, Ashlyn and Carlie Bradford and Chloe, Norah and Tessa Ginkel. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph F., her son-in-law Jerry Miller, her sisters Joan Bruninga and Marge Bolin, and her brothers George, Bud and Gilbert McCorkell.

Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Northfield United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Stanton Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service and a reception will follow.
